Process positioning and cutting advantages of octagonal cutter (8F)
Within Atom's 36mm rotary cutter family, the 8-faceted polygonal cutter (8F) offers a highly balanced option between "strong bite" and "continuous smoothness":
· The golden balance between shearing and sliding cutting : its blade edge is closer to a circle than a hexagonal blade (6F), resulting in less vibration and smoother cut edges during high-speed rolling cutting; at the same time, it has a deeper single-faceted edge than a decagonal blade (10F) and a hexagonal blade (16F), providing excellent anti-slip physical gripping force.
· To prevent textiles from pulling or being pushed : When the blades rotate at high speed, the eight micro-edges will generate continuous, slight pulse "shearing" impacts with the material, neatly cutting off the fibers before they can locally stack or shift.
