Usage Considerations

• Sharpening Frequency: 60-grit wheels are typically used when the blade requires more aggressive sharpening or when cutting denser materials that dull the knife quickly. For finer finishing, an 80-grit wheel (often part number 20505000 or 85631000) may be used.

• Maintenance: Ensure the grinding wheel is replaced when it shows signs of uneven wear or "glazing," as a dull stone will cause heat buildup and can lose the temper of your cutting knife.

• Aftermarket Options: While original Gerber parts are standard, high-quality aftermarket replacements from manufacturers like Yimingda or Sollex are widely available and compatible with the same S-91/S-93 tool heads.
