System Component Overview
  • The Blade Holder: Features internal dual or single bearings that allow the 0.9mm shank blade to spin freely and fluidly inside the housing as the machine changes drag directions. 
  • Tungsten Carbide Material: Sourced from cemented tungsten carbide to maintain an ultra-hard, razor-sharp edge significantly longer than standard stock alloy steel. 

Machine Compatibility
While originally engineered for Graphtec (CB09/CB09U) industrial plotters, the precise exterior dimensions of this holder allow it to slide directly into the tool clamps of several consumer-grade desktop cutting machines: 
  • Graphtec: Craft Robo, CE5000, CE6000, CE7000.
  • Silhouette: Cameo 1, 2, 3, and Portrait 1 & 2 (fits natively without an adapter).
  • Silhouette Cameo 4 & 5 / Portrait 3: Requires the specialized black tool adapter ring that comes with the machine to pad the tool carriage diameter. 
Critical Setup Instructions
Unlike automatic "Autoblades," this setup is completely manual and requires micro-adjustments: 
  1. Drop the Spring First: Slip the tiny silver spring over the shaft of the tungsten blade.
  2. Insert Into Housing: Drop the blade (tip-side down) into the holder. The internal magnet or bearing will snap it cleanly into place.
  3. Dial In Blade Depth: Screw the top cap down until the blade tip barely protrudes from the bottom tip. Rule of thumb: You should barely be able to feel the tip with your thumb; it should only emerge roughly the thickness of a single sheet of paper.
