Solid Carbide Grade (Micro-grain): Provides up to 10–20x longer edge life compared to High-Speed Steel (HSS), making them ideal for dense hardwoods, MDF, particle board, and abrasive composites.
Precision Bevel Angle: Standard 30° to 37° cutting angles ensure clean cuts with minimal tear-out or surface burning.
Countersunk Screw Holes: Ensures flush seating against the cutter body block to prevent dust buildup and edge misalignment.
Clean the Seat First: Resin, pitch, or wood chips under the insert will cause runout and can snap the carbide blade when tightened.
Torque Properly: Always use a torque wrench or T-handle Torx key to prevent over-tightening (which cracks carbide) or under-tightening (which risks loose blades).
Index Together: When replacing blades on multi-knife cutterheads, rotate or replace all inserts at the same time to maintain dynamic balance and uniform finish quality.
