Gerber Platinum "F" Series consists of extended-length solid carbide router bits specifically engineered for machining thick rigid foams, high-density urethane (HDU), and soft plastics ranging from 1-1/4" to 2-1/4" thick.  

The Application Code "F" (Foams / Special Long) is laser-etched directly onto the bit shank alongside the part number for identification.

P80160B is described as a versatile bit for clean-out and bottom surfacing applications within the same family. It's particularly recommended for scenarios where the finish of the routed area is crucial, such as carved letters, 3D signs, and detailed foam work.


Application guidance:
- Use P80349A for general foam routing up to approximately 1¼ inches thick, including sign foam, EVA, polyethylene foams, and similar materials where a ¼ inch kerf is suitable.
- Choose P80350A for deeper cuts up to around 2¼ inches in foam or soft plastic, maintaining the same ¼ inch diameter. Ideal when more cutting length is needed without altering the bit diameter.
- Opt for P80351A for heavier, more robust cuts in foam or HDU where a ⅜ inch kerf is acceptable or preferred. It provides faster material removal and enhanced rigidity on thicker boards.
- P80160B is best for clean-out and bottom surfacing in sign carving, 3D letter production, and detailed foam work. Ideal for achieving a smooth, flat bottom with minimal corner radius.
