The knives of bullmer are mainly made of tungsten carbide ( HM ) or high speed steel ( HSS ).

1 How is the sharpness of the knife defined?
There is a relationship between sharpness and stability of the knife, the sliding forces on the material and
on the load of the knife. The wedge angle defines the sharpness of the knife. The smaller it is, the more
unstable is the knife edge and the sharper the knife is.

2 What are the effects of the cutting angle?
The bigger the cutting angle of the knife , the bigger the pushing forces of the blade on the material to be
cut, however a small cutting angle creates a greater overcut,
i.e. depending on the material it needs to be considered when a nesting affects any adverse effect on the
material consumption.
3 How much can I cut with a knife ?
The cutting height depends mainly on the processed material. When cutting the specified amount in the
catalog the immersion depth on the cutting belt must be deducted.
