Atom 0103B999 is high-grade carbide (tungsten carbide) vibrating insert specifically developed for the Atom Flashcut Flex series digital cutting systems (including the Flex Pro, Flex S, and Flex B series).This blade features an asymmetrical beveled cutting edge (11°-15° profile) and is a derivative version of the classic heavy-duty model 01039999, which has been structurally upgraded to accommodate the new generation of Flex flexible tool head clamps and high-frequency vibration chucks (such as EOK/POC vibration tool heads).

0103B999 excels in handling medium-thickness, medium-to-high density flexible and semi-rigid sheets requiring precise nesting, and is commonly used for:

Footwear and bag materials : Texon fiberboard (allows for rapid cutting when the thickness is ≤ 3mm), insoles, and shoe linings.

Automotive and furniture interiors : Medium-thickness natural leather (≤ 6mm), high-density synthetic leather.

Industrial seals and gaskets : high-density solid rubber, silicone sheets, and special industrial synthetic materials.

Precision packaging : rigid grey cardboard, honeycomb cardboard and high-density composite cardboard.

For EOK (Electric Vibrating Chuck) : When cutting soft rubber or leather, a medium to high amplitude should be used. An angle of 11°-15° can ensure that the bottom of the cut piece will not be overcut (sloping) when cutting small radius arcs or acute angles.

For POC (Pneumatic Vibratory Chuck) : When processing superhard fiberboard or dense rubber, it is necessary to ensure stable air pressure on the machine. Since uneven cutting speed can easily lead to microscopic chipping of the cutting edge, it is recommended to enable the "Corner Reduction" process optimization in the software.

Chip removal and cleaning : The new Flex head has more precise positioning. Since this blade is often used to cut Texon boards with a lot of fiber chips, the blade holder should be cleaned regularly with compressed air to prevent residue from changing the vertical clamping angle of the blade
