Core technical parameters
  • Perforation diameter (Ø) : 4.0 mm . This size is specifically designed for punching standard 4 mm round through holes, widely used in footwear, bag fabrics, car seat covers for ventilation holes, and decorative cutout designs. 
  • Base interface : Threaded structure; there are two main compatible base specifications on the market:
    • 8 mm threaded base (most common HZ5Z.40 standard specification).
    • 6 mm threaded base (for specific modifications or narrow profile tool holders). 
  • Material : Typically made of high-speed steel (HSS) or fine cemented carbide/tungsten carbide . High-speed steel has good toughness and fracture resistance; while cemented carbide has extremely high hardness, providing a longer cutting life. 
  • Structural design : Most are hollow tubular punches, some with side chip removal grooves (Lateral Evacuation) to ensure that the leather scraps (waste "punch cores") punched off can be smoothly discharged upwards or to the side, avoiding blockage of the punch and causing blade collision. 
Applicable materials
Because the Comelz system is deeply integrated into the footwear and leather goods industries, this punch is primarily optimized for the following materials:
  1. Natural leather : genuine leather fabric, thick cowhide, sheepskin, etc.
  2. Synthetic/artificial materials : PU leather, PVC material, microfiber leather.
  3. Technical textiles : various shoe upper fabrics, mesh fabrics, and reinforcing linings.
  4. Structural accessories : positioning holes are punched in the middle and bottom plates, cardboard, folding boxes, etc
