Performance Characteristics

Material Compatibility: While primary use is for plastics, it is part of a "universal" line. Related bits in the same series, such as the T00498 or T00500, are also suitable for soft and hard woods.
Chip Removal: The upcut spiral geometry is ideal for deep grooves or through-cuts, as it clears waste efficiently to prevent bit breakage or material melting.
Edge Quality: Because it pulls material upward, it provides a very clean finish on the bottom surface of the workpiece but may cause slight "fuzzing" or lifting on the top edge.

Usage & Safety

Installation: When mounting in a CNC collet, it is recommended to push the bit in fully and then pull it back out approximately 1/16" to 1/8" before tightening to ensure a secure, vibration-free hold.
