Kartech blades come in several main models designed for different cutting applications, and their operation is mainly based on motor-driven blade movement at high speeds.
Main Kartech Blade Models and Specifications:
1. Oscillating Blade (Electric Oscillating Blade)
- Dimensions: e.g., 50*6*1 mm (length width thickness)
- Cutting length: around 35mm
- Thickness: varies between 0.6mm to 1.5mm depending on model
- Operation: The blade moves reciprocally at ultra-high speed driven by a motor, ideal for medium-density materials cutting and shaping.
- Suitable materials include advertising KT board, foam board, ABS plastic, corrugated plastic, cardboard, carbon fiber pre-impregnated materials, carpets, sealing rings, etc.
- Motor RPM ranges, power specifications vary but typically motor power is around 720W for some oscillating blade models.
- Recommended cutting speeds range from about 300 to 800 mm/s depending on material and blade type.
2. Spindle/Milling Tool
- Blade rotates at high speed
- Used for fabric, thin copper skin cutting, carbon fiber, fiberglass, banner, and textile cutting
- Motor power around 250W with 13,000 RPM
- Cutting blade thickness usually around 0.6mm
3. Circular and V-Knife Blades
- Circular blades are used for processing V-grooves and bevels with angle adjustments from 0° to 45°
- Suitable for soft glass, PVC, honeycomb board, KT board, corrugated paper, vertical corrugated board, and greyboard
- Cutting thickness capability up to 13mm depending on blade and material
4. Drag Knife
- Suitable for single layer textiles, flexible materials less than 5mm in thickness
- Typical motor RPM around 6,000 and motor power 170W
- Used extensively in soft material cutting, such as films and foils
Operation:
- The blades operate via motor-driven mechanisms that either oscillate (move back and forth rapidly) or rotate depending on the blade type.
- This design enables high-speed precision cutting for various materials, notably textiles, plastics, composite materials, cardboard, and foam boards.
- Blade holders are often replaceable and adjustable to fit different blade thicknesses (e.g., 0.63mm or 1mm).
- Cutting speed and motor power settings are critical to achieving optimal cutting efficiency and blade life.
Applications:
- Kartech blades are widely used in advertising, clothing industries, composite material industries, and packaging where different blade types (oscillating, milling, drag knife, circular) cover a broad materials spectrum from soft fabrics to harder plastics and composites.
