iEcho PK Series(PK0604 PK0705 PK1209)Digital Cutting System Cutting Knives Blades
Selection of cutting knives and blades for the iEcho PK Series (PK0604, PK0705, PK1209) depends primarily on the material thickness and the specific tool module installed on your machine. While the PK0604 and PK0705 typically handle materials up to 6mm, the PK1209 Pro Max can process thicknesses up to 10mm.

1. Key Tool Modules & Their Applications
The PK series uses modular tools that hold specific blade types:
Universal Cutting Tool (UCT): Used for through-cutting materials up to 5mm. It is the standard for most "drag knife" applications.

Electronic Oscillating Tool (EOT): Essential for thicker or denser materials like honeycomb board and corrugated plastic. It uses a high-frequency vibrating blade to "saw" through the material.

Kiss-Cut Tool (KCT): Designed for two-layer materials (e.g., vinyl stickers) where only the top layer is cut without piercing the backing.

Creasing Tool: Uses specialized wheels to create fold lines in cardboard and corrugated paper for packaging.

2. Common Blade Model Selection

Blade selection is driven by the angle of the tip and the required cutting depth:

Blade Model

Tool Type

Primary Applications

E19 / E19-31

EOT / UCT

Heavy-duty vibration cutting for PK series; 64° angle is common for general precision.

E15-01

EOT

Recommended for thick foils, magnetic foil, PVC vinyl banners, and polyester fabric.

E17 / E17-2

UCT

Standard drag blades for paper, thin cardboard, and self-adhesive vinyl.

E74C / E78

V-Cut

Specialized for "V" shaped grooves in KT board or heavy corrugated board for folding.

3. Material-Specific Selection Guide
Vinyl & Stickers: Use the Kiss-Cut Tool with a fine-tip drag blade (often 1.5mm "U" circlip style) to ensure the backing remains intact.

Cardboard & Grey Board: For materials up to 350g, use the UCT. For thicker board (up to 6mm), the EOT (oscillating knife) is required to prevent material dragging.

Corrugated & Plastic Sheet (ABS/PET): Use the EOT with high-frequency blades like the E19-31 to handle the internal fluting of corrugated materials.

Reflective & 3M Materials: These often require higher pressure and sharp, durable tungsten steel blades found in the UCT module.
